-  my first encounter with patchwork and quilting occurred during my year as an exchange student in the USA (1982/83)
-  I spent several years teaching myself the techniques by working traditional patterns
-  since 1994 my quilts have become much more modern in their composition
-  in 1999, 2000, 2001 I took several classed with Dorle Stern-Straeter (Germany)
-  from 2004 to 2008 I took a few classes with Nancy Crow, which have had a tremendous impact on my work
-  since 2004 I have been working as a full-time quilter
-  I regularly teach classes in patchwork and quilting all over Germany, and on request
